Your account email, display name when provided by your sign-in provider, and sign-in identifier (Apple, Google, or email via Firebase Authentication); the countries you follow, your knowledge level, app settings, and generated briefings; questions you send to Geb AI and its replies, which synchronize to your Premium account; subscription entitlement and transaction identifiers; and, if you enable notifications, a device push token and notification inbox. We do not collect your contacts, precise location, payment-card details, or advertising identifiers.
We do not sell personal data, run third-party advertising, track you across other companies’ apps or websites, or build political profiles of readers. Briefing and chat requests are processed by our AI service, Geb AI, to provide the response you requested.
When you request a briefing, the request carries the country, your knowledge level, and language to Geb AI. Generated briefings are cached to your account in Firestore so they load faster and stay in sync across your devices, and to your device for offline reading. An identical briefing requested by several readers may be served from a shared, country-level cache that holds no personal data.
Subscriptions are processed by the App Store or Google Play and are managed through those stores. We do not receive your payment details.
Your account, watchlist, generated briefings, synchronized chat history, subscription entitlement, and notification data are stored with Google Cloud (including Firestore) in the US and encrypted in transit and at rest. Chat history and reading state may also be cached on your device. We retain this account data while your account exists, subject to bounded in-product history limits.
You can delete your account at any time: in the app under Account → Delete account, or on the web at polinex.ai/delete-account. Deletion removes your profile, followed countries, stored briefings, synchronized chats, device tokens, notifications, and private authorization tokens from our servers without delay, and removes the associated authentication account. An active subscription must be cancelled separately in the store. You can use Polinex without notifications, and background refresh is optional.
Polinex is not directed at children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
If this policy changes materially, we will notify you in the app before the change takes effect and keep prior versions available on request.
